Personal Data

The passengers hereby acknowledge that their personal information is provided to Freebird Airlines for the purpose of performing the booking processes for the transportation, purchasing any ticket, utilizing the services, providing and developing the services, facilitating the immigration and entry requirements, and making such information for governmental authorities. Thus, the passengers shall authorize Freebird Airlines to keep such information, and to transfer such information to the its offices, partners, authorized agents, governmental authorities, other carriers or those who provide such service, regardless of the country.

It is prescribed that collection of some personal information is necessary to perform booking processes and fulfill the contract of carriage. The passengers may exercise their right to raise an objection for collection and processing of their information; however, such passengers should be informed about the fact that such matter will cause cancellation of their flight, or that it will cause such passengers not to utilize the certain ancillary services (e.g. special meals, etc.). It is stated that lack of certain personal information or incorrectness of the information provided may cause to decide the denied boarding or non-admission to any country in accordance with the certain applicable laws and regulations. Consequently, Freebird Airlines shall not be subjected to any liability.

Cancellation and refund requirements

Can I cancel the seat that I've purchased?

If you change or cancel your reserved seat, you can not get a refund or transfer your seat to someone else.


Can I cancel a food order?

If you change or cancel your food order, you can not get a refund or transfer your food order to someone else.


Can I cancel the baggage allowance I've purchased?

If you cancel your excess baggage allowance, you can not get a refund or transfer your baggage allowance to someone else.


Can I cancel the special equipment that I've purchased?

If you cancel your special equipment purchase, you can not get a refund or transfer your special equipment to someone else.

Additional Services Purchasing Deadlines

You can reserve your seats and purchase special baggages and extra weight allowances up to 6 hours, order menus and special meals up to 72 hours before scheduled flight time.

Excess Baggage

The passengers shall pay any amount with respect to the carriage of baggage, excessing the baggage allowance, in a manner and at the rate as specified under the terms and conditions of Freebird Airlines.


In any case, the weight of the passengers' baggage shall not excess 32 Kg.


You can purchase additional baggage allowance for the fees specified in the general rules section of freebirdairline.com up to 8 hours before your flight. These fees wiil be cheaper than those offered at the airport


You can also pay for additional baggage allowance with your PNR and Surname after you purchased your ticket by going to homepage of freebirdairlines.com and clicking on ‘’My Reservations’’ or ‘’Increase your baggage limit’’ visual to complete additional baggage process.


If the weight of the checked baggage you are carrying for your flight exceeds the total baggage allowance, you can pay for the excess weight at the airport.

Items That are Not Admitted As Baggage

The following items may not be included in the passengers' baggage:

  • The items, which has been identified under the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) International Dangerous Goods Regulations and the terms and conditions of Freebird Airlines, and which may jeopardize the aircraft or the persons or goods on board such aircraft;
  • Substances prohibited by law, rules or orders of the state of departure, arrival or any other state to be passed.
  • The items, which are of fragile or breakable nature, or which are not deemed appropriate for transportation by Freebird Airlines with respect to their weight and size;
  • The live animals other than those which are allowed to be transported.
  • The firearms and ammunition, which are used for other purposes than the hunting and sports, are prohibited to be transported as baggage. The firearms and ammunition, which are used for the hunting and sports purposes, may be admitted as the checked baggage to the extent that they comply with the terms and conditions of Freebird Airlines. The firearms shall be transported by keeping their safety lock on, being free of ammunition, and having been packaged properly. The ammunition shall be transported in accordance with the ICAO and IATA Regulations.
  • The antique firearms, swords, daggers, knives and similar weapons may be admitted as the checked baggage to the extent that they comply with the terms and conditions of Freebird Airlines; however, they may not be admitted to the passenger cabin.
  • The liability of Freebird Airlines as the carrier for any damages to, loss of or delay in the delivery of Checked Baggage is limited in accordance with the applicable law. For this reason, valuable papers, money, identification, official deeds, jewellery, precious metals, electronic devices and other items with high value or personal worth, liquid, fragile, perishable materials should not be carried inside Checked Baggage. If such items are carried in Checked Baggage, Freebird Airlines does not accept any liability over the applicable liability limits stipulated by the law.

In the event that transportation of any of the items, specified above, has been performed, Freebird Airlines shall not be held liable for transportation of the items in such manner, regardless of the fact that whether or not they have been prohibited to be transported as baggage. Freebird Airlines shall also not liable for spillage of any liquid substance due to transportation of the liquid substances as the checked baggage as well as for any similar subsequent damage.

Right to Deny Transportation of Baggage

Freebird Airlines may deny transportation of the substances, which are prohibited to be transported as baggage, and the similar substances as baggage; and in the event that it is aware of the existence of such substances, of which it is not aware initially, it may avoid transportation thereof.


Freebird Airlines may deny transportation of any object as baggage as required by the ease and comfort of the passengers or due to the size, form, weight or nature of the object for operational requirements or safety reasons.


In the event that such substances are not bagged and/or packed up in a manner to ensure safe transportation by taking ordinary care, then Freebird Airlines may deny admission of the baggage as the checked baggage. However, the baggage, which has not been packed up properly, may be admitted as the checked baggage by providing any "limited release label" to the relevant passenger by Freebird Airlines. In the event that the baggage, which is admitted in such manner, is damaged, then Freebird Airlines shall not be held liable against the passenger.

Right to Search

Freebird Airlines may request the passengers to allow them and their baggage to be searched and to be screened by means of x-ray or any different method for security and safety reasons. In the event that the passengers fail to comply with such request, then Freebird Airlines may deny transportation thereof.


Where the passengers are not present, then the baggage of such passengers may be searched for the purpose of the fact that whether or not their baggage includes any weapon or ammunition that is not reported to Freebird Airlines. In the event that the searching process, which is carried out by means of x-ray or any different method, damages to the passengers or their baggage, then Freebird Airlines shall not be held liable for any damage unless such damage is caused by its error or negligence.

Checked Baggage

Freebird Airlines shall issue any baggage tag for each part as of delivery of the baggage, to be checked, to Freebird Airlines, and it shall keep and maintain the baggage.


In the event that no tag, stating the full name and address details, is attached to the baggage, then the passengers shall attach any letter or tag, which states their personal records, before delivery of the baggage.


The passengers shall be obliged to obtain and keep any baggage tag for each checked baggage, and to check the details available on such tag; otherwise, Freebird Airlines shall not be liable for any damage arising from transportation of such baggage.


The checked baggage may resist to the ordinary use, and it may also protect the contents of the baggage.


Freebird Airlines shall not be liable for any pollution/contamination, friction, wear and tear, and the other damages, as a consequence of delivery of the items, which are not covered by the definition of baggage due to their nature, in an unprotected manner.


Before delivery of television and other fragile items, which are requested to be transported as the checked baggage, the passengers shall sign a certificate of release, stating that Freebird Airlines shall not be liable for transportation of such items, upon the request. In any case, Freebird Airlines may right to deny transportation of such items.


The passengers are required to attach any tag, stating the full name and address details, on the wheelchairs before delivery of such items as baggage.


The checked baggage shall be transported on board the same aircraft as the passenger, where possible, unless Freebird Airlines decides transportation of such baggage through any other flight based on the safety or security reasons or operational requirements. In the event that any passenger's baggage is to be transported through any other flight, then Freebird Airlines shall deliver such baggage to the relevant passenger as per the applicable regulations, unless it is not required to be subjected to the customs clearance.

Excess Baggage Notification and Fee

In the event that the passengers are provided with the opportunity to notify any additional value for their baggage under the terms and conditions of Freebird Airlines, then the passengers may notify any value excessing the applicable liability limitations for the checked baggage. In the event that the passengers serve such notification, then they shall pay any fee in compliance with the applicable terms and conditions of Freebird Airlines. Freebird Airlines reserves the right to verify the content and value of the baggage, the value of which is notified.


In the event that such opportunity is not provided by any other carrier, which will carry out any part of the transportation process, then Freebird Airlines may deny acceptance of any excess baggage notification with respect to the checked baggage.

Hand (Cabin) Baggage

The unchecked baggage, which will be carried on board the aircraft with the passengers, should be appropriate in order to be placed beneath the seat in front of the passenger or into any closed location available in the passenger cabin on board the aircraft. In the event that any passenger's baggage is not appropriate to be transported in such manner, or that it excesses the minimum weight as specified under the terms and conditions of Freebird Airlines, or that transportation thereof poses any threat with respect to safety for any reasons whatsoever, then it should be transported as the checked baggage.


The objects (e.g. sensitive items such as musical instruments), which are not appropriate to be transported in the cargo compartment, may be transported in the passenger cabin provided that they are notified in advance, and that Freebird Airlines allows transportation thereof in the passenger cabin. Any separate fee may be applied in order to transport of such objects in such manner.


The passengers shall be liable for the personal items, carried with them in the cabin, as well as for the unchecked baggage. In the event that any personal item and checked baggage are destructed, stolen, lost or damaged, then the carrier shall be held liable for such matters only provided that it is proved that its officers and agents misconduct on their own side.

Receipt of Baggage

The passengers shall receive their baggage at the arrival and stop-over points as soon as their baggage become available for delivery. In the event that the passenger fail to receive their baggage within the appropriate period of time, then Freebird Airlines may apply any storage fee to the passenger. In case of failure in receipt of the baggage within the period of time as specified under the terms and conditions of Freebird Airlines, then Freebird Airlines may delivery the baggage to the customs units without assuming any liability against the relevant passenger.


On the holders of the baggage coupon or baggage identification tag, which is delivered to the passengers only when the baggage is checked, shall be authorized to receive the baggage. In the event that any baggage coupon has been issued, and that the baggage has been identified by means of other procedures, then non-submission of the baggage identification tag may not prevent delivery of the baggage.


In the event that any person, requesting her/his baggage, fails to show the baggage coupon, or that such person fails to identify her/his baggage through the baggage identification tag, then Freebird Airlines shall deliver the baggage to the relevant person provided that such person proves his/her right with respect to the baggage in a manner to satisfy Freebird Airlines. However; in such case, such person shall provide a satisfactory assurance with respect to the fact that s/he shall indemnify the damages, losses or expenses to be incurred by Freebird Airlines due to delivery of the baggage.


Acceptance of the baggage at the time of delivery without filing any complaint shall constitute a presumption with respect to receipt of the baggage under good conditions, in a complete manner and in compliance with the contract of carriage.


In case of failure in delivery of the baggage, the passengers shall contact with Freebird Airlines with respect to the expenditure limits provided to the passengers in order to satisfy their daily expenditures, which constitute the urgent need, of the passengers, who travel to any other point than her/his residential address, and with respect to whom a period of 24 hours have elapsed after arrival to such point.

Transportation of Animals

Unless stated otherwise under the terms and conditions of Freebird Airlines, the animals may be transported only provided that the following conditions are available:


In respect of the live animals, the cats and dogs may only be transported inside the cabin.


Transportation of the animals, traveling together with the passengers shall be subject to the prior and express acceptance of Freebird Airlines.


Maximum 6 live animals may be transported for each flight.


Certain animal categories are prohibited to be transported based on the applicable regulations. The details for such categories may be obtained from Freebird Airlines or its authorized agent.


The passengers should be able to submit any and all valid documentation such as special passport, health certificate, vaccination card, entry permit and transit permit, which are required by the authorities available in the departure, arrival and transit countries with respect to their animals, and they should be ensure that the animals are placed into any appropriate container/box in case of transportation of dogs, cats, birds and similar pets. In any case, such transportation shall be subject to the prior acceptance of Freebird Airline, and the passenger may be requested to satisfy the additional conditions as specified under the terms and conditions of Freebird Airlines. In case of failure in satisfaction of such requirements, Freebird Airlines shall not admit transportation thereof.


In the event that any animal has been admitted as the baggage along with its container/box and food, then it may not be considered as included in the baggage allowance, and it shall constitute any excess baggage, the fee of which will be paid by the relevant passenger. The dimensions of the containers/boxes may be up to 55x40x20 cm, and one passenger may carry maximum 1 container/box.


The guide dogs, accompanying the visually/hearing impaired passengers, shall be transported free of charge in addition to their baggage allowance along with their containers and food, subject to the terms and conditions of Freebird Airlines.


Acceptance of transportation of any animal shall be based on assumption of any and all liabilities for such animal by the relevant passenger. Freebird Airlines shall not be liable for death, illness, delay or loss or injury of any animal due to the fact that such animal is not allowed to enter any country or state, or any location, or to pass through the same, or for the costs and other damages, which may occur for such reason.


The requirements for acceptance of live animals are as follows:

  • The cats and dogs should be minimum 10 weeks old, and their health records should be complete. The cats and dogs, which are 10 to 12 weeks old, shall be subject to the traveling permit specified only by the relevant veterinary.
  • The rabies vaccine should have been completed 21 days before the date of travel. The live animals, which have vaccination period less than 21 days, may not be allowed to be traveled.
  • The pregnant live animals shall not be allowed to be traveled.
  • The live animal may travel inside its container/box, laying down on the lap of its owner or placing in front of the seat of its owner, throughout the flight.
  • The weight of single container/box should not excess 8 kg, including any animal. Maximum 2 animals may be transported inside a single container/box provided that such animals are siblings, and the size of the container/box should be in a manner not to limit the mobility of any live animal.
  • The live animals should be domestic, and they should not stink.
  • In case of any doubt with respect to the live animals during the check-in process (uncomfortable, sick or aggressive), then the authorized personnel shall have the right to deny the live animals.
Traveling with Your Infant

You can travel together with your infant, who are over 7 days old and under 2 years old, by utilizing the discount ticket advantages we offer for our infant passengers. The infants, who are under 7 years old, shall never be admitted to the flight.


Our infant passengers may only travel with any accompanying person. The accompanying persons are required to be minimum 18 years old, and each accompanying person may accompany one infant only.


Our infant passengers shall travel on the lap of their accompanying person, by fastening the special infant belt.


Any mother or father, or any adult, who is 18 years old and over, may accompany maximum one infant for each flight. In the event that any parent requests to travel together with more than one infant, then it shall be ensured that the first infant passenger travels on the lap through the infant ticket, and that the second infant passenger travels on any individual seat through the child ticket in consideration of a fee. The stroller/child safety seat shall be provided by the passengers in order to fasten/secure the other infant with the safety belt on the seat.


We may only transport the pushchairs in the cargo compartment of the aircraft. However, our infant passengers may be brought up to the door of the aircraft by means of their pushchair, and the pushchair may be delivered to the officers by the accompanying person while boarding. The pushchair of our infant passengers shall be disembarked from the aircraft upon completion of the flight, and it shall be delivered to the accompanying person.


You can carry liquid or solid baby food in the amount to satisfy need of your infant, inside the containers of maximum 100 ml.


The infant passengers have the baggage allowance of 10 kg.

Traveling with Your Child

Our child passengers, who are over 2 years old and under 12 years old, may travel together with their parents and/or any adult accompanying person, who is authorized by their parents for such purpose.


The baggage allowance of our child passengers, who travel through the discount ticket, shall be the same as our adult passengers.

Children Traveling Alone

Our child passengers, who are over 2 years old and under 12 years old, may also travel without their accompanying person. However, our child passengers, who are 2-7 years old, and who travel without their accompanying person, are required to be under the supervision of any cabin crew member.

Traveling with The Accompanying Person

In the event that you cannot travel together with your child, or that you cannot find any person in order to travel together with your child, then we may assign any accompanying person provided that any and all flight costs shall be borne by you.


Any cabin crew member, whom we assign as accompanying person, and the station officers shall ensure that your child completes her/his flight in a secure manner. Our personnel assigned shall meet any and all needs of your child during her/his travel, and s/he shall deliver your child to any adult available in the arrival point.

Traveling without The Accompanying Person

Our infant passengers, who are over 5 years old and under 12 years old, may also travel without any accompanying person in compliance with the following process. Maximum 4 children may travel without any accompanying person for each flight.

  • The child passengers, who travel without their accompanying person, shall be prioritized. However, you should ensure that your child will be available in the airport 2 hours before the flight.
  • The authorized personnel shall ensure that you sign the necessary documentation during the check-in process, and s/he shall inform you about the process.
  • Our child passengers shall be boarded together with the accompanying person upon completion of the check-in and documentation processes.
  • Before leaving the airport, you should be sure that the flight of your child starts.
  • Any cabin crew member shall deliver the child passenger to our personnel welcoming the aircraft in the arrival point. Such personnel shall deliver your child to the person, requested by you, against her/his signature upon completion of the customs and baggage processes.
Our Passenger Expecting a Baby

As Freebird Airlines, we aim to ensure that passengers traveling while pregnant have a safe, comfortable and smooth flight experience. We recommend all our pregnant passengers to read the detailed travel information stated below.


Single Pregnancy Carrying Rules
Until 28 weeks Medical approval is not necessary.
Between 28-35 weeks Doctor reports are to be submitted indicating that the passenger can fly. The date of the report shall be within the last 7 days.
After 36 weeks The passenger shall not accepted.

Pregnancy for twins or more Carrying Rules
Until 28 weeks Medical approval is not necessary.
Between 28-32 weeks Doctor reports are to be submitted indicating that the passenger can fly. The date of the report shall be within the last 7 days.
After 32 weeks The passenger shall not accepted.


***Expectant mothers are responsible for deciding themselves whether or not their health permits them to fly; if they have any doubts, expectant mothers are advised to consult their doctor before flying.


***A certificate issued before that date will not be accepted. The doctor's certificate should confirm that the passenger is fit to fly despite the pregnancy. The certificate shall be signed and stamped by the passenger's doctor.


***If the passenger has booked an outbound and return flight, Freebird Airlines is entitled to refuse carriage on the outbound flight if necessary.
