Milestones

  • 2000 2001

    Freebird Airlines established in June 2000 as a company within Gözen Group which has been supplying ground services to companies since 1979. Freebird Airlines started operations in 2001 with the fleet of 3 MD-83 aircraft.
  • 2002

    Freebird Airlines is the first airline company in Turkey that has been granted ISO 9001:2000 Certification by TÜV Rheinland in August 2002. Another MD-83 aircraft added to the fleet in the same year.
  • 2005

    In order to renew the fleet, MD-83 aircraft discarded and Airbus A320 aircrafts inserted to the fleet. The aircraft had a face-lift with the new logo and color design.
  • 2006

    Freebird Airlines became as the first charter airline that achieved IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit) Registration granted by IATA (International Air Transport Association) in July 2006. Freebird Airlines welcomed her first Airbus A321 aircraft delivery at the Atatürk Airport with the registration TC-FBG and her second Airbus A321 aircraft with the registration TC-FBT.
  • 2010 2011 2012

    The fleet of Freebird Airlines expanded by taking delivery of two Airbus A320-214 aircraft from the production line of Airbus in February, 2010 and April, 2011. The registration of the aircrafts are TC-FBH and TC-FBV.
  • 2012 2013

    Freebird Airlines is the second airline company in Europe that uses EFB2 System on A320 Aircraft in the scope of LPC (Less Paper Cockpit) Project. Freebird Airlines expanded the fleet by taking delivery of another Airbus A320-214 aircraft from the production line of Airbus in April, 2012. The aircraft with 180 seat capacity, has CFM56-5B4/3 engines. The registration of the aircraft is TC-FBO.Freebird Airlines became the first Turkish airline who participates international A320 Maintenance Review Board subcomitee meetings. Istanbul operations terminated and all operational units move to Antalya in 2013.
  • 2015 2016

    Freebird Airlines has achieved having the lowest SAFA finding rate among the Turkish Air Carriers in 2015.
    Freebird Airlines became the first private airline who is granted for Airworthiness Review authorisation under SHY-M by Turkish DGCA.
  • 2017

    The head office of Freebird Airlines is relocated to her new headquarters along with Gözen Holding companies.
  • 2019

    Freebird Airlines Europe (FHM) started its operations within EU with its first Airbus A320 aircraft (9H-FHB). Freebird Airlines expanded its fleet by taking delivery of 3 Airbus A320 aircraft. The registration of aircrafts are TC-FHG, TC-FHM and TC-FHN.
  • 2020

    Freebird Airlines Europe expanded its fleet by taking delivery of its second Airbus A320 aircraft (9H-FHA).
  • 2022

    Freebird Airlines Europe expanded its fleet by taking delivery of its third Airbus A320 aircraft (9H-FHY). Freebird Airlines expanded its fleet by taking delivery of 3 Airbus A320 aircraft. The registration of aircrafts are TC-FHK, TC-FHL and TC-FHP.
  • Today

    Freebird Airlines operates with a fleet of 10 Airbus A320 aircraft. Freebird Europe operates with a fleet of 3 Airbus A320 aircraft.
